My First Day Back

Monday all of the teachers went back to school. The floors were squeeky clean, the classrooms fresh, and we greeted each other as old friends. Creepy for me to be walking in the door nearest the gym. I was settled in the other wing for two years and now the eighth grade is on the far right hallway to accomodate the large group of students. My classroom is the last door on the left.
Today I worked hard to get my classroom in order. I love the results. Just hope that my students are as excited as I am to begin a new year.

My favorite book is DRIVE BY because i like books the got something to do with projects or hoods or gangs.
I think Maya Angelou is a wonderful poet and has some great pieces .The one I like is called I KNOW WHY THE CAGE BIRDS. I think it is a wonderful excellent poet. I think a caged is somebody that doesn’t have any freedom like an addiction like drugs or alcohol that is in this little old while they can be outside enjoying life.
Maya Angelou is a great poet. The poem ‘’A Pledge to Rescue Our Youth has the message for young children to speak out for themselves. I think the poem ,’’ I know why the caged bird sings’’ is talking about how someone was caged and not able to have there freedom.
I think Maya Angelou is an ok writer. She knows what she is writing about. I think her message is that you should be yourself and express your feelings. I think the idea of cage is that someone or something is stuck in a place or situation that they do not like.
