Winter Break

This is the day before our winter break. I am curious to know what you are looking forward to doing, seeing, participating in this upcoming break. We just read the short story The Gift of the Magi – so in the spirit of giving, please share a story from a holiday when you were a child – maybe a surprise gift or an unexpected visit.

I have snowball fights in shorts whenever it snows. It is fun.
On this up coming break im planing on hanging out with my cousins and having fun at the family parties.. hehe Merry Christmas!
My family from michigan comes down and we all go to my aunt’s house n have christmas dinner. We have a blast with family and friends. My little brother and me have snowball wars with the whole neighbor hood when it snows and we make igloos and we hook up sleds to the fourwheelers and go sleding, my dad got a snowmobile so i really want it to snow!!
During Winter break I go to my Grandma’s house to see all my cousins, aunts, and uncles. Then after Chrismas day, my family, along with my Grandma, fly to California. In California, we see old friends and see our old house. On New Year’s Eve, we go to a big party, and stay up until 12:30A.M. watching the ball drop. Then we sleep for 4 to 5 hours before we get up again to drive to the Rose Bowl Parade and get the same parking spot. During the parade, we drink hot chocolate and enjoy the beautiful rose filled floats.
My most remember able christmas was when i was in the hospital till 1am chrismas morning and had to prop me up with 10 pillows just to open my chrismas presents
Ever year I see my cousins from New York city. Just seeing them makes me feel happy. Also I see my dad side of the family which will be the second time I see them.
This Christmas, my Aunt Betsy came over from California and she is spending Christmas here. When I was a kid and my sister was still a baby, we were having a family photo shot. My sister had a very pretty dress on and right before the photo, my sister threw up! So my parents put a less pretty dress on her and she threw up on the other dress! So, my parents finally put on some normal clothes for her and she finally didn’t upchuck.
This winter break, my family and I are going to my grandparents house in Maryland. Also, on saturday, we are going to Maryland to hang out with my cousins and my friend Josh.
The christmas I remeber the most was last year when i wanted a ral expensive dune buggy and my parents said it was too much. so on christmas day i woke up and they took me to our garage and opened the door and their it was, and it was one of the best times of my life.
i plan to have a huge dinner on chirstmas.

This Christmas i am gonig to visit some family in New York and in Vermont. I am also going to Maryland to see my grandmom who is in the hospital.

This Christmas I am going to my pop pop house in N.J. The only thing that I am going to this weekend is be on Myspace and get gifts!!!!! I might go to a friends house but that is about it.

I remember waking up at 5:00 am in the morning and opening presents then going to my aunts to open presents.
During christmas I like seeing my family from far away.
This Christmas I am going to stay at my house. Thats all i ever do. If it snows I will attack people with snow balls when they are not looking and then run away. If they catch me ill laugh and run again. Thats what i plan to do this Christmas. Jear Bear watch out for Josh. Merry Christmas!

This Christmas I will be going to my Uncle Chips house. Every year our family has a tradition to have a Christmas Eve party. Every year we try to have the Christmas party at different family member’s house. The one holiday that I remember that my mom and I had an unexpected visit was when my mom told my grandma that we would be unable to visit then and we surprised my family when we did visit.
For Winter Break I’m going over my friends house to exchange gifts because she doesnt go to my school and I’m going to my aunts house in New Jersey to have a christmas dinner with them and my family too!
I think that Maya Angelou is a great poet. Because “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” is wonderful. Is a poem that moves a people by telling of a bird in cage that can only sing of freedom.
