Schools of the Future

Recently I have been asked to think about what schools will look like in the year 2015. I ask for your help please!
What should schools teach, how should students be grouped, what role will technology play and what kind of plans should we make now for this to happen? As students, how do you see learning changing. Will there be groups of students who are interested in specific projects or topics that get together to work? What role will teachers play? Think and write please!

In the future I think that schools will not change very much just the students that go there will. And the schools will have more history. I think that they school group the students with there friends and that way kids don’t get made fun of as much so the school will be more peaceful. I also think that the technology will be more advanced and possibly do the DSTP on Computers. That is what I think school will be like in the year 2015.
In future schools the classes should teach you about mechanics. I think the students should be grouped by their intelegence level. The role the technology will play with be pens, pencils,and paper will be replaced with laptops. Also the role the teachers will play will be all they have to do is write the instructions on the board. The way I see learning changing is it will be easier because you will be working on a computer.
In the year 2015 I think schools will be slightly different….there will be different people (teachers and students) and different memories. We will have more advanced technology… because that is basically what we live off of. We could do the DSTP on the computers, we would type almost everything, and all projects would have something to do with the web (research, slideshows, creating websites). As a plan for this to happen, we would have to raise money for the technology and the board would have to approve of all of this. We will be learning differently by using updated history and technology. (Even though Crysta posted the DSTP thing first I thought of it! She’s a copy-cat!)
I think that the schools will be more high tech, and kids will learn off software rather then lessons by a teacher. I think this will help because sometimes the teacher goes too slow or too fast and the student gets sidetracked and doesn’t learn as well. Also I think that the kids will be grouped by their interests and their academic abilities. Finally technology will take a big part in schools in 2015 because it already takes a large part now and we are always having advances in technology. Maybe they will even have robotic lunch ladies.
I think schools of the future should teach what the students want to learn. Friends should group the students because they are expected to do well and some do better with their friends. School puts people to sleep so they should have more interactive classes.
I believe the schools should teach at a higher level and have much more tech. I think the kids should get grouped by interest. There will be groups of students who are interested in specific projects or topics that get together to work. teachers will have the same role they do know.
I think that schools in the future will be were all of the kids can take there classes at home on the internet. I think that they should be were all of the classes are on the computer at a school but you can leave when ever you want, once you are done with all of your classes. If classes are on the computer it would be better because sometimes the teacher would teach to slow or to fast.
I think teachers should still teach what the subjects they do today. With the addition of some classes that are based on running your own business, managing a business, and more stuff like that. Students should be grouped with kids that learn at the same speed and who can deal with their own problems. The technology will be very advanced and everything will be done on the computer.
I think the future schools will be very technologically advanced because there is a lot of technology used in our schools today. Students will be able to do homework and get missed class work online. Soon enough there will be no need to even go to school.
I think that in the future we will be so advanced in technology that we will have school on our own personal cell phone. We won’t even have to leave school. I think that having school like that will be really cool.
Schools in the future
I think schools should teach normal classes, math, science, social studies, and language arts and an extra technology class. The reason I say this is because there are a few students that don’t know much about technology and as the year progress there is more and more gadgets. Technology makes life easier and I think everyone should know how to use it. Students should be grouped the same. To me I believe technology will be a very important role in school in 2015. We already use technology, computers. Plans I think we should make is prepared students for technology. Our world is turning to technology
I think the school of the future will be more high tech than what it is now. I think that school should teach students every day math and what we would need when we grow up and advance our futures and careers. I think the way the students are grouped now are working fine. Going back the technology part, I think technology and computers will play a big role in the schools. Instead of hand writing, we will be typing everything on our assigned lap-tops. I think that teachers wont play that big of a role, because we wont need to copy the work on paper.
I think that the schools in the future will be different. I think that everyone will be doing their school work differently in 2015. I think that there will no longer be pencil and paper. Also think that the kids in the future will be grouped by the way that the kids work and how much they have learned.
I think we should have an oraganized school in 2015. We should do one subject at a time like have language arts for the first month and math for the second and you know what I mean. It would be a lot easier if we did that way today but I wont be in school in 2015. You will either see me in the NFL or playing NCAA football in real life.
I think that the schools will be all technology. If one thing breaks then they will have to cancel school because they will have forgotten about the old ways. The students will be grouped by what they know about technology. The projects they do will be about how they can improve technology. The teachers will be there to teach how to use the technology.
I think the future of 2015 would have better technology. Also I think you would use computers instead of pencils and pens.
I think the schools in 2015 will be teaching the same subjects as we are learning now. Seeing how big of a role technology plays in education today, it will probably be much more important in the future. Learning will most likely be the same and not change very much. Students that are doing the same things should be working together. And teachers will stil be teaching.
I think the school of the future should have better things than the school today. I think that the schools should have better things to learn. I think that the students will be grouped by what they learn and their grades.
Schools of the future should teach kids stuff that we will use in every day life, not stuff that we won’t ever use. They should let kids have time to talk to their friends. They should have more after school activities that are interesting.
I think that schools of the future should teach with more uses of technology. I also think that their teaching will be better than ours now becuase they will have more advanced things to teach with.
I honestly think that the schools are going to be the same but better technology and they will be some what smarter than us today.
Schools in the year 2015 should teach the same thing we’re being taught now which is about the past. They wouldnt really be grouped any differently, I don’t think they’ll hae more technology but they will have BETTER technology such as computers. The learning system shouldn’t change but it probably will. They will really just be similar to now.
I think that the school should have more technology and I think that the students should be grouped by there ability of work and how they work. I think that the students should teach more and do more interesting work.
School in the future we shouldn`t have work we just sit and play games or play outside and more technology.
I think the schools should teach the same things. The schools should be grouped the same way that they have always been. I think the technology will be more advanced so we could get things done faster. I think teachers will just be there to supervise.
I think in the year 2015, a lot of things in schools will be different. We have a lot of technology now so in eight years, there will be even more. The schools will also be kind of out of date. For example, they may still have backboards while we have dry erase boards now and maybe a lot of other schools don’t even have laptops for the classes yet, which in eight years…it will be even more high tech. In that year, I will probably be in my fourth year of college so I probably couldn’t enjoy it as much as when I was in middle or high school but I hope there is a lot of new technology for children of the future.
Technology may help the schools of the future by separating the kids on their level of learning capability. The students won’t use paper and pencils they will use laptops and different other high tech writing devices.
I think that the school year of 2015 will be the same thing as this year because there is nothing to really change. Everything that we have in the school hasnt been changed for a lot of years except technology so that might be the only thing to change.
In 2015 I think that the schools should teach current events rather than history and same math as now, LA and science all should be the same. The students should be grouped based on their academic abilities. So the teacher doesn’t go too fast or too slow. All the students would have a laptop, so the teachers wouldn’t have to worry about bad handwriting. The school would probably end up being online; so when ever you’re sick you can do it when you feel better and on a laptop you can’t lose your work as much. And if the classes end up going online the students could send their work to the teachers e-mail.
I think the schools of the future will be very technical. There will be a lot more technology classes that students will have to take. Hopefully schools will give more freedom to students, and classes will be more enjoyable. These are just a few things that I predict for the year 2015!
I think the schools of the future will be very up tight and very little fun!! Like for example now we get to walk around and talk to everyone but in the future I think there would be no time for socialization. There would only be time to work, but the way technology is advancing you will not even have to have a pencil you will only use computers or items like a computer!! The classes I think will be grouped by grades, for example if your GPA was an “A” you would be in class with all other “A” students!! That is what I think schools will be like in 2015!!
The schools of the future will teach the same things we learn today. There will be a lot more technology than there is today and they can use different tools than we use today to write. The kids can get a lot more education than we get today. They will learn about our wars and our ways of changing the world.
I think that the school year of 2015 will be like… I think that they might have a new sport that might come out and they might change some rules of the sports we play right now. Instead of using money on paper and pencil I think that everyone will have to pay for an hand held so we can delete things and save things. I think instead of the teachers using black boards or eraser boards we will have a clip board that the teacher can sit far away and write on it and it will project onto the board. The only thing that will basically change is technology. They might not have DSTP and also they might cut school shorter than now. There will be three subjects. That is what I think.
I think that schools should teach what they have been. The students should be grouped by grades and we should be able to use a lab top that we could use to do work besides having all of the books we have to carry around.
I think the schools of the future should be the same way they are now. They are safe places for students to learn and be progressive with their education. The only thing that would be a little different is the technology.
Schools in 2015 will change immensely from technology to learning styles. Students will change and so will rules. Students will be separated into different classes and maybe even schools depending on their gender, academic abilities, and interests. Everyone will do their work on a computer making sure their work does not get lost. Some people might not even go to school doing work on their home computer.
I think the schools of the future will teach the same things we learn today, but i think that the schools will be up graded more. The schools might have elevators instead of rusty old stairs. I also think that there will be mandatory discipline. Maybe if you get into your first fight you would get suspended for 10 days, maybe. I think the schools would have more technology & no more books/ binders for Math, Science, Langue Arts, and History class. Thats what I think for the schools in 2015!!!!!
The schools of the future would be about the same but there would probably be more technology. The students would lose the pen and paper, and have laptops, all the class notes and work would be done on their laptop, and be emailed to the teacher. And the DSTP would probably be done on the computer instead of a booklet. This would be much easier for the teacher and the student.
I think in the year 2015 schools will be very different. Students would be separated by the way they learn and their academic abilities. If you are a visual learner you will be with other visual learners. Also I think that technology will play a very different role. The students would have their own laptops instead of carrying around books. This would keep things from getting lost or deleted by others using the same laptop that you use.
I think that most of the students in the future will have a high interest in Science because of the constant use and update of scientific technology. But, who knows? We might not make any technological advances in the future. Students now are really focused on computers, and I believe that this trait shall continue throughout the years. Students should be grouped by grade level, (A’s, B’s, C’s, etc.) so the right students can get the right education. If we keep updating our technology, soon, we will have computers instead of teachers!
I think schools in the future should teach the same things but more stuff on technology. We don’t rally need to prepare for the future they should have devices for the future on how to do everything.
In 2015 there will be no school! There will be a micro-chip in our brains downloading the 12-16 years of school in ten minutes.
Schools of the future…. I think schools of the future will not even have teachers. You will wake up, hit a button and this holographic picture will a appear and that will teach you. The other thing I think could happen would be a robot will teach you and your friends.
School of the future
In the future I believe that we will have the same curriculum. The thing is I think we will be learning things in different ways. Either teacher will be holographic due to technology.
Or we will just have go to sleep with a band on our head to learn everything while we sleep.
In the future things won’t really change. Kids will still ride the bus, probably it will still be more technology, more history and a lot more chemicals in science.
Future schools.
I think that future schools will be way more advanced than our schools are now. More electronic experiments, less hands on activities, more consequences for bad actions, and maybe holographic teachers! But, all kids should be taught at the same level. So all kids will be at the same educational level as their classmates.
I think that schools will be better in 2015, because they will have better technology and by then they will think of better school food. If you think about the last 8 years we have advanced in technology a lot, so think about what could happen by 2015. I don’t even think there will be school becuase of how the world is today.
I think in the year 2015 schools the students will be learning from laptops. There will be no teachers in the classroom.
I think school in the future is going to be all technology. Kids might have a robot for a teacher. I think the kids in 2015 should learn what we learned but it might be cool to have a robot teacher.
Just think, when 2015 comes, it will be different and schools will be sufficient with learning new resources and more. Technology will be superior than the years from now. I think students will be able to progress faster and discover more material taught by teachers. The schools will be futuristic with all the new computers and there will be no more overhead projectors! The schools through out the country will be superior!
In 2015 think we will be over whelmed with technology. I think we will have robotic teachers and bus drivers. I also think that we will have more advanced computers.
