Honoring Your Mom
Posted on May 14, 2007 by Mrs. Albanese
Last week in class you wrote a special descriptive poem about your mother or the special woman in your life who cares for you. Then you printed them out on flowery paper and carefully placed them in a page protector. Now I am curious. How did it go when you gave her the poem? Did she like it? What was her reaction? Will you write more poetry when you leave 8th grade now that you have been successful?

When I gave my mom her poem she loved it. She was very happy that I wrote that for her. I do believe I will write more poetry when I leave the 8th grade. It is very fun to write poems for people.
My mom was surprised to see the poem, she loved it! She read it to the whole family durning our mothers day picnic.
My mom was so thrilled. She went around telling the poem to all my aunts and uncles.I bet my brother was jealous.
When I gave the poem to my mom, she was happy. She could not believe that I wrote a poem.
When my mom received this poem she gasp and a little tear run down her cheek. Almost like somthing took her breath away, she looked at me gave me a hug and said i love you to.
When I gave it to my mom she was suprised to see how I described her. She thanked me and gave me a hug. I hope to write more successful poems in the future.
On mother`s day, when I showed my mom the poem that I wrote she was happy.
Well my mom really liked her poem, so much in fact she took it to church with her and showed all her friends. She was very happy all day, and had a great mother’s day!
I gave my mom the poem I wrote right when I woke up, and she read it and I guess she liked it because she gave me a hug and she let my dad read it. I plan to keep writing them because they are simple and easy!
my mother loved the poem and she showed it to any one who wanted to look
My mom was so exited when I gave her the poem. I think she was surprised too. The last poem I wrote her was in third grade.
My mom just loved my poem! It made her cry! see gave me a hug and said she loved me!
NOW I’M NOT GROUNDED!
I forget the poem in my locker, so I could not give it to her. Nevertheless, I made up to it by giving flowers, and making her breakfast
My mom loved her poem with lots of passion. I gave her poem to her right before dinner. I put it in the Bagel Bite box right before she opened it. She was so happy she wanted to kiss me but I backed away like a normal teenager. I plan on writing lots of poetry through high school and college.
My mom had a very stern face throughout the first few lines of the poem. But when she reached the part where it said that her heart did not match with her gray sweatpants and her blinding green crocs, she burst into laughter. I probably will only write poems for school later on…
My mom was so happy when I gave her the poem. She gave me a great big hug and thought it was the greatest thing ever.
I never printed the poem and i didnt see my mom so i have to make it up to her whenever i see her so i dont know.
When I gave my mom the poem I wrote her, she cried for about five minutes because she felt really important.
My mom laughed because I drew funny little fishes on the paper because I didnt have fishy paper!
I forgot to give it to my mom because didn’t print it out. I gave it her last night and she loved it! She said it was beautiful and probably the best gift she got.
My mom cried when I gave her my poem. She was so happy and overwhelmed. Now I know I have the power to write a good poem
My mom loved it. She thanked me and hung it up on the wall.
When i handed my mom the mothers day poem she loved it. She liked the poem so much that she cried. I won’t keep wrighting poems when i leave the 8th grade.
When I gave my mom the poem she read it out loud to herself. After she was finish I could tell by the expression on her face that she really liked it. Then she told me that she liked it, and said that she was going to put it in her office at work. By the action’s I got from my mom I may consider writing more poems in the future. Maybe I will get the same reaction.
