Capstone Project: Lifestory
Capstone Project is the Final Language Arts Project for the year! This is your time to shine!
Steps
- Brainstorm a list of accomplishments, life events, and special times in your life.
- Create a blog as a structure to hold all of the parts of your project
- Write and revise all pieces. Research and assemble the parts on the blog. Include links and references.
- Present the blog to the class and link it to my blog.
Each of these posts will be a category on your blog. You must do the first 5 and then pick 3 more to complete the project.
POSTS
- Essay - A Special Accomplishment. Essays must be at least 400 words in length and contain an introduction, body and conclusion.
- Essay - A Person Who had a positive influence in your life.
- Post - “Appreciation” (About 300 words) Think of someone who has helped you as you went through school at Mariner. Write an appreciation – thanking that person. Descrive specific times and occasions that you receied help. Express your gratitude.
- Post - “The Best of Mariner” (About 300 words)Write a letter to an upcoming 7th grader telling them what to expect in 8th grade. Include details of things that they may enjoy.
- Protopage – Create this as a little mini-research place about something you like to do: include pictures, links and references. Link it to your blog.
Options – pick 3
- A virtual field trip using Google Earth to places that you would love to visit.
- A slide show of pictures that represent things that you like to do.
- A list of cool websites that you visit and use.
- A collection of poems that you love and the authors’ information.
- A list of books you have read in middle school!
